Making a bear friend is fun and easy
Children and adults of any age can enjoy a fun activity that brings new meaning to a special bear friend because it is made with love. We all have fond memories of a special huggable toy from our childhood that brought happiness and comfort, a special friend that we may even still have with us today. We would like to help as many sick children as possible hug a special friend today and always remember how it made them feel.
How your bear gets to a sick child in hospital

To sponsor a bear friend all you have to do is select your favourite bear friend, choose an outfit and give him/ her a name. We will then stuff your bear with love and donate it straight to the Charity of your choice within Australia.
If you are a corporate customer, you will receive a photograph of your special bear friend with the personalised birth certificate, alongside your business logo. We will post the images on social media and send you a copy, that you are free to share in your own marketing. You will also receive a certificate of thanks.
For personal giving, we will send you an instagram tag of your built bear.
Friendly staff or our Big Bears will deliver the new special friend to a sick child in hospital waiting for or recovering from treatment. Your gift will include a complete bear friend, birth certificate in the name of your choice that includes your name and the date it was stuffed with love. Know that your kind act will brighten the day of a little warrior.
How to make your own special bear friend
Select your favourite bear friend, choose an outfit and we will send you a complete “make your own” bear friend pack. The pack contains a bear skin, a satin make a wish heart, cotton stuffing, a full costume plus a birth certificate for you to fill out, all presented in a draw-string carry bag.
Making the bear is easy - just use your hands or a wooden spoon to feed the cotton stuffing into the bear's body and then make a wish and place the heart inside the bear. Simply zip up your bear and he / she is ready to be dressed. Don’t worry, we will not leave you hanging. For full step-by-step instructions click here. Enjoy a virtual “Make a special bear friend” kid’s birthday party with a character host
Purchase a Character Host Virtual Party package for up to 5 kids - Birthday child plus 4 guests. We will send personalised invitations via email to your guests and a link to your private zoom video call once RSVP’d. The bear packs are delivered straight to your guests and your child in time for the virtual party. Your character host will join the zoom video call and guide the children to make their special bear friend in their own homes. Be entertained by Princess Fairy, Pirate or Sally the Clown during a 90 minute fun-filled session.
Please make sure you book at least 2 weeks in advance, subject to availability.

Purchase a Run Our Own Virtual Party package for up to 5 kids - Birthday child plus 4 guests.
