Community Bear Hunt Supporting HeartKids Two Feet & A Heartbeat walk
What an incredible community bear hunt event we had yesterday along both Manly and Balmoral beaches. Our walk supporting HeartKids Two Feet & A Heartbeat fundraiser, which raises awareness for those living with a Congenital Heart Disease.
With Spider Bear leading our group and waving the HeartKids flag, our team walked in recognition of people in our local community living and impacted by CHD.
Spider Bear made a few little friends along the way, and of course got up to some mischief. A huge thank you to Connie Mastroianni (buyers agent), who walked alongside Mr Bear and engaged with locals sharing her experience of being a Heart Mum, and insights into the world of those who have are impacted by this disease.
Further, I would personally like to thank Axle Creative founder, Michael M Harris, for the amazing contribution he has made to our creative team. Michael was busy chasing after Mr Spider Bear capturing all the crazy adventures that our friendly bear went on in Manly. Also, I would like to thank Lina Harris from Psych-L-Ahead for the enthusiasm and support throughout the day.
As a heart kid myself, I was overwhelmed with gratitude from the positive energy and involvement that we had from many of our Business Sponsors of the bear programme. Huge shout-out to: Brady Yoshia, Heidi Brown and Connie Mastroianni from the Brady Marc’s Buyers Advisory team; Sandra Duarte, CEO of Centrum Group; and many more who joined our walk and engaged with the community sharing the work of HeartKids.
We also appreciate the Sponsorship of bears that we will be donating to sick children in hospital, bringing them much needed joy and happiness during these times.
As Spider Bear winds down from his adventurous weekend, we are so thankful to both Manly and Mosman community and council for their support in this event. I would especially like to thank Affogato by Chill Bar, Belgrave Cartel, The Bottom of the Harbour Fish ‘n’ Chips, and the Beach House Cafe in Balmoral for their support in this event and their continual support for this important cause. This disease effects so many of our local families, and to be able to raise awareness in a fun and engaging way- makes both our local areas unique and united.
My team is looking forward to the upcoming adventures of our favourite Special Bear Friend, and are excited to continue to bring joy and happiness to sick children in hospital and children in our community.
If you would like to follow in Spider Bears footsteps, our bears will still be up and around Manly and Mosman until the end of October. As always you can show your support by sponsoring or purchase a bear via our website.
