BUSINESS WITH A HEART LAUNCH ~ SYDNEY ✈️ PERTH

We are proud to announce that the Special Bear Friend Programme has now launched in Perth, WA!

Thanks to the Rehabilitation Team at Rio Tinto, Business With A Heart journeyed to Perth WA to launch the bears in Perth Children’s Hospital. Our founder Tania Mastroianni, was invited to share her inspiring story with the team and conducted a team building activity giving the team the opportunity to make their own bears to give to the children in hospital.

Alongside Tania’s story, one of Rio Tinto’s team members, Pamela, shared how her family had also been impacted by Congenital Heart Disease, losing her beloved nephew when he was only 9 months old. Pamela also shared that her niece, Airlie, 4 months old, suffered the same symptoms her brother did, however, she survived and was the first to be gifted a Special Bear Friend.

Tania says “it was incredible to see the bond of the team coming together to support a colleague during difficult times, and how much of an impact the bear making activity had on the wider Rio Tinto community. I also had the pleasure meeting little Airlie and her Mum Danielle, both of whom lit-up at the sight of Wonder Bear in Perth Children’s Hospital”.

We are excited to continue our work alongside Rio Tinto’s various teams, as they bring joy and happiness to children in Perth Children’s Hospital. Thank you again to the teams who continue to engage with the bear programme and look forward to the next team building day.
